“Feed My Sheep” Community Garden
Did you know the Good Shepherd Community Garden is a Mission? This year, a group of volunteers from Trinity Lutheran Church cultivated 8 plots and harvested over 1,000 lbs of produce to donate to the Lilburn Co-op.
Also, New Mercies Christian Church has joined our Community Garden by taking 4 plots with produce going to the food bank they operate every Saturday at their church. How cool is that?
Want to get in on the action? Consider renting a 12’x12’ plot for $30. You can grow produce or flowers for your own use in the great soil and intense sunshine. We will waive the rental fee if you follow the lead of Trinity and New Mercies to donate your produce to charity. Maybe managing a plot by yourself seems like too much so consider going in with a few of your friends.
Contact the church office at office@goodshepherdpc.org for more information and start gardening.
